Andi Osho

Andi Osho

Andi Osho is a Plaistow born comedian of Nigerian background. Her parents are both Nigerian, but although she is fiercely proud of her African background she regularly pokes fun at the Nigerian way of life; mothers threatening their daughters, the conversations of gay men, the difference between MCing (Can't Touch This) and simply talking fast and how only men are shown assembling stuff in the IKEA catalogue.
She is the one of the newest comedians around, having only started in 2006, age 33, making her the oldest, black, Plaistow-Nigerian, female comedian to perform in England.
She has won more awards that you won't have heard of; the Laughing Horse Competition, the Hackney Empire New Act of the Year and the Nivea Funny Women Award, not for her hair, which is awesome, but for her actual material.
She has appeared on TV shows such as Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Short History of Everything Else and her own show, The Andi O Show. (hilarious)
